We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic lodge assistant to join our small team at Wilderness Lodge Arthur’s Pass, in the beautiful Canterbury high country.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone happy to work across all areas of the lodge, including front desk/reception, housekeeping & restaurant service. Previous experience in supervisory roles preferred. Barista experience advantageous.

You’ll need:

- Previous hospitality experience, ideally in a lodge, hotel or restaurant.
- A friendly manner and a commitment to excellent guest service.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail and a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Good spoken English and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Flexibility to work split shifts, mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- A reasonable level of fitness for an active role.
- Availability from November through to late April.

Accommodation and meals are provided on site for a small weekly cost. Our remote location suits someone who enjoys nature, the outdoors and living within a small team.

You must already hold a valid visa or other entitlement to work in New Zealand for the full employment period. Visa sponsorship is not available.
