Hostel All-rounder

HOSTEL ALL-ROUNDER WANTED – FINLAY JACKS BACKPACKERS, TAUPŌ

We’re looking for a fun, friendly and social person to join the crew at Finlay Jacks!

This is a proper hostel all-rounder role, so you’ll get involved in pretty much everything that makes the hostel tick — checking guests in, helping out with housekeeping, running social activities, chatting with guests and generally helping create the chilled, social atmosphere we’re known for.

The role:

Around 32 hours per week

12 hours per week go towards your accommodation

Accommodation provided in our shared staff room

You’ll be expected to help organise and host social activities for our guests

Minimum 4-month commitment

Start date: End of October/November

Who we’re looking for:

Someone bubbly, friendly and confident who genuinely enjoys being around people. A big part of the role is getting involved with guests and helping run our social activities, so you need to be comfortable getting a group together, having a laugh and helping create a good atmosphere around the hostel.

Hostel or hospitality experience is great, but personality is more important to us. We want someone who gets along with everyone, has a good attitude, isn’t afraid of a bit of hard work and is keen to become part of the FJ crew.

Finlay Jacks is a top-rated backpackers in the heart of Taupō. We’re all about keeping things chill, social and welcoming, with a good crew and plenty going on around the hostel.

If this sounds like your kind of place, send us your CV and a little blurb about yourself — or even better, come in and say hey in person!
