Wine Ambassador

Hunter’s is looking for two enthusiastic Wine Ambassadors to join our cellar door and restaurant team for the coming summer season.
We operate a small, welcoming cellar door and lunch spot where great wine, genuine hospitality and memorable experiences come together. Our goal is casual excellence, delivering an exceptional experience without the formality.
We’re looking for people who love wine, enjoy connecting with guests and can bring our wines and story to life.
The Role
Working across our cellar door and restaurant, you will:
• Welcome and host guests, guiding them through our range of wines.
• Share the Hunter’s story, heritage and brand values.
• Educate visitors about our wines, winemaking and the Marlborough region.
• Deliver polished, engaging front-of-house service.
• Help create a relaxed, professional and memorable guest experience.
About You
You’ll bring:
• A genuine passion for wine and a good level of wine knowledge.
• Experience in front-of-house service, hospitality or wine tourism.
• Confidence communicating with guests and a natural ability to make people feel welcome.
• A professional, well-presented manner and a strong eye for detail.
• A positive attitude, initiative and a desire to deliver excellent service as part of a close-knit team.
The Details
• Two positions available
• Full-time, Wednesday to Sunday.
• Fixed-term employment from now until late April or early May 2027.
• Based at Hunter’s in sunny Marlborough.
• Accommodation assistance available to help you make the move.
