Summer Job at Miranda Holiday Park – Housekeeping & Grounds ️

Looking for a summer job in a cool spot in New Zealand? Come and spend the summer working at Miranda Holiday Park!

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on backpacker to join our team from late November 2026 until late February 2027.

This is a varied role, so no two days will necessarily be the same. You’ll be helping keep the park looking great and making sure our guests have a good stay over the busy summer season.

What you’ll be doing

Housekeeping and cleaning cabins and accommodation.

Grounds work, keeping the park tidy and looking its best.

Laundry duties, including washing, drying and folding linen.

Some evening work, including closing the pool and making sure guests stick to quiet hours.

Helping with some after-hours phone duties and guest enquiries.

Pitching in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly.

Miranda Holiday Park is a great base for the summer, with a relaxed holiday atmosphere, a swimming pool, plenty of outdoor space and guests coming through from all over the place.

We’re in the Firth of Thames area, close to the coast and within reach of some great fishing spots, beaches and outdoor adventures. It’s a good opportunity to experience a different side of New Zealand, meet people from all walks of life and earn some money while enjoying the summer.

We’re also working on upgrades around the park, so you’ll be part of a busy team helping get everything ready for the holiday season.

Who we’re looking for

Someone who:

Is reliable, practical and happy to get stuck in.

Is comfortable doing a mix of cleaning, laundry and physical outdoor work.

Can work independently and use their initiative.

Is friendly with guests but confident enough to deal with noise and pool rules when needed.

Has some flexibility for evening and after-hours duties.

Bonus points if you have your own campervan or caravan! We’d love to hear from someone who can bring their own van or caravan to live in on site for the summer.

The details

Location: Miranda Holiday Park, near Kaiaua, Waikato.

Dates: Late November 2026 to late February 2027.

Work: A mix of housekeeping, laundry, grounds and some evening duties.

Accommodation: Ideally suited to someone with their own campervan or caravan to stay on site. Accommodation arrangements and any associated costs can be discussed.
