Chef – Alpine Hotel

The Chalet Hotel in Arthur’s Pass is looking for chefs to join our team as we prepare to reopen this historic Swiss chalet after nearly 10 years closed.

Our menu will be European Alpine-inspired with a New Zealand touch, and we’re looking for experienced chefs who are excited to help shape the food offering from the beginning.

This could be a great opportunity for a travelling chef looking for a short-term role in the New Zealand mountains, or someone keen to join us longer term.

Staff accommodation is available, and you’ll be living in the heart of Arthur’s Pass National Park with hiking, climbing, skiing and the Southern Alps right on your doorstep.

Seasonal and longer-term opportunities are available.

Previous professional kitchen experience is preferred. We’re also interested in hearing from strong kitchen all-rounders.
