Do you love variety highly flexible and able to work in multiple locations.

Seeking a hands on manager who will step in and roll their sleeves up when required.

We are a small but diverse business focusing on :

Residential rentals
Commercial property (motels) and rural land rental
Cherry production and domestic cherry sales and marketing
Budget short stay and staff accommodation
Food vending - food trailer

You will need to be highly flexible in mindset and able to switch between these business elements in order to meet the needs of our tenants and food customers.

Summers are largely focused on cherry sales (you will be expected to help direct road side sales along with delivery of cherries to retail outlets which you are expected to build a relationship with and find new outlets - a full driving licence is essential). In addition over summer we attend several events selling hot food and cherries from a food van. You will be expected to attend these events alone at times. Mostly we attend events on the West Coast and Otago you will be expected to stay away from home at times.

During the winter months we focus on maintaining our rental properties (you will be expected to undertake gardening weed control and in particular inside and outside painting). During this period we also take steps to develop our Cherry sales channels for the following summer.

The summer is most busy and so during the cherry selling season you will be expected to work more than 5 days a week. No holidays over this period will be possible.

Most events where we operate the food van over summer are on weekends and public holidays so days off are likely to be mid week during the summer.

Throughout the entire year you must be able to respond to the needs of our commercial and residential tenants undertaking property inspections and overseeing urgent maintenance.

Ideally you will have:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to get on well with a wide range of people
Highly flexible approach to problem solving
