We are looking for 2 Machinery Operator and Orchard Supervisor for our growing business in the Western Bay of Plenty. We are looking to employ suitable candidates for this role.
This is a FULL TIME POSITION.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sound knowledge of operating machinery such as tractor sprayer (ATOM) truck and forklift
- Maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Orchard maintenance
- Safe Agrichemical usage and handling
- Ensure safe working environment
- Managing teams of workers
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Kiwi-fruit industry and operating machinery
- At least 1 year of experience in orchard spraying and safe usage of Agrichemicals
- First aid certificate is essential
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Must have a Growsafe standard certificate
- Must have a class 4 driving licence and forklift licence
- Dangerous goods endorsement is required for handling and transporting of Agrichemicals
- Flexibility to work the weekends and ability to work long hours
